AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Actors wishing to audition for principal or ensemble roles will need to:
Principal Roles
- Register for an audition time using the audition form.
- Prepare the role specific song as note below.
Ensemble Roles
- Attend the group dance / movement audition.
- Prepare a short musical theatre song (approx. 1 minute). Songs from Evitaare welcome but not required.
Group Dance Audition
Friday the 17th April 7pm to 9pm
Riverlea Theatre.
Everyone auditioning needs to register to attend the Group Dance Audition
Not all cast members need to be trained dancers but the show is movement orientated.
A group dance audition means that auditionees will attend as a group to learn and perform a section of choreography from the show. This will look like:
- A group warm-up.
- Shanelle will teach a section of choreography.
- Performance in groups.
- During the performance, Shanelle will assess technique, musicality, stage presence, and the ability to pick up and retain the choreography.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday through May, June and July.
Some possible Saturday dance rehearsals.
All at Riverlea Theatre unless otherwise stated.
