Auditions will be held at Te Totara Primary School in Rototuna

Group Dance Audition – Saturday 21st September
9:00am-10:30am – ALL auditionees to attend.
10:30am-10:45am – Those with acro skills to stay on for tricks display.
10:45am-11:30am – Those auditioning as specialist dancers and those selected by the creative team at the earlier group audition to stay on for an advanced dance audition.

Individual Auditions for Singing and Dialogue (all must book a time)
Saturday 21st September between 12:30pm-8:30pm
Sunday 22nd September between 9:00am-9:00pm
Sunday 29th September between 12.00pm-2:00pm
If needed, call backs will be 3:00pm-6:00pm on the 29th September.

Season dates: Tuesday 14th January – Saturday 18th January, 2025
Show times will be 11:00am and 2:00pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday show times will be 2:00pm and 7:00pm.
Please note these season dates are in the school holidays

Rehearsals will take place at Riverlea Theatre during October and November on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday during the day. Cast will come back for a block rehearsal period beginning on 3rd January, 9:00am – 4:00pm, until the season begins.

If you are 10-18 years old and would like to audition for The Lion King Jr, these are the things you will need:

To learn the song excerpt specific to the role you are auditioning for off by heart, these will be on our website.
To learn the dialogue excerpt specific to the role you are auditioning for off by heart, these will be on our website. Ensemble members or minor roles: no dialogue required.

Note: All must attend the Dance Workshop on Saturday 21st and book an individual audition time.
